The temple shimmered in the soft glow of evening. Shadows swayed with the flicker of the lamp, and the bellโ€™s lingering chime seemed to hang in the air, suspended in time.

She stood before the Jyotirling, eyes closed, hands folded, her breath slow and steady. There was no fear on her faceโ€”only a quiet, deep calm, as if the worldโ€™s weight had been lifted just for this moment, leaving only stillness and light.

She breathed the words softly, as if speaking only to the light itselfโ€”โ€œHe Mahadevโ€ฆ I seek nothing today. I only leave what I hold in Your hands. Bless this bond with peace, understanding, and a love that never falters. Let these hands, joined today, remain inseparable forever. Donโ€™t let my Mayank ever be taken from meโ€ฆ just this.โ€

The priest stepped forward silently, placing the aarti plate gently into her hands, then retreated, leaving her alone with the trembling flame and the heavy, sacred quiet of the temple.

She stopped, and for a heartbeat, even her breath seemed to hold still.

Then, the temple filled with the soft, sacred strains of a shiva . She began to rotate the aarti plate slowly, each movement deliberate, as the lamplight danced across her face, painting her in warmth and shadow.

A tear slid down, catching the glow for just a moment.

With every turn, she gave the light her fears, her hopes, her entire heartโ€”offering it completely, without reservation

And thenโ€”suddenlyโ€”the plate wobbled. The lamp tilted dangerously, its flame quivering as if about to vanish.

A strong, sure hand shot out from the other side, steadying it in an instant.

The light stayed alive.

She froze, her breath caught somewhere between awe and fear.

Slowly, almost unwillingly, she lifted her eyesโ€ฆ

And there he stood. A man

Their gazes locked.

For a heartbeat, the entire temple seemed to hold its breath.

The bellโ€™s echo faded, the bhajan softened, the lampsโ€™ flicker dimmedโ€”the world around them disappeared, leaving only this charged, unspoken moment.

He didnโ€™t break eye contact. Calm. Controlled.

She, however, felt frozenโ€”every heartbeat loud in her ears, every breath caught somewhere in between.

His fingers shifted just slightly on the plate, holding it steady, but his presence pressed in, silent and intense.

Then, in a voice low, firm, and edged with quiet authority, he saidโ€” โ€œHaath kaanp rahe hainโ€ฆ ya dil?โ€

Her breath caught, frozen mid-air.

โ€œJiiโ€ฆ?โ€ A barely audible whisper escaped her lips.

He didnโ€™t glance away. Calm, steady, unshakable, he spokeโ€”โ€œTake care.โ€

The words struck her like a jolt of lightning, sharp and electric. Her gaze fell instantly, heart pounding, as if the ground beneath her had shifted.

As the aarti ended, the priest stepped forward. She bent low, hands folded, touching his feet with quiet reverence.

But heโ€”neither bowed nor extended a hand.

He stood still, silent, stern, his presence heavy and commanding.

The priestโ€™s eyes first fell on him piercing, steady, then shifted to herโ€”bowed head, her slightly trembling hands, unyielding.

For a heartbeat, the temple itself seemed to hold its breath."Aap dono ki jodi hamesha gauri - shankar ki tarah bani rahe - Sath santulit aur sadaiv aashirvaadit.".

Her voice sliced through the stillness of the templeโ€”โ€œPandit jiโ€ฆ my marriage is supposed to happen with someone else. Todayโ€ฆ youโ€™re mistaken.โ€

Though her words were measured, a faint tremor betrayed the turmoil in her chest.

The priest offered a faint, knowing smileโ€”

โ€œRishte kagaz par tay hote hain betaโ€ฆ par jo mandir mein thame gaye haathon se jud jaaye, usey bhagya kehte hain.โ€

He stepped further inside, carrying the aarti plate, and the temple sank into a hushed, sacred silence. She remained frozen, her heart racing, her mind spinning.

โ€œWhatโ€ฆ did that mean?โ€

she whispered, the calm she had felt moments ago slipping through her fingers.

She turned slightly, instinctively looking for himโ€”where he had stood just moments before, there was only emptiness.

Her eyes flicked around the temple, searching, restless. And then she saw himโ€”walking away toward the exit, calm and unhurried, not once glancing back, as if the world around himโ€”and she herselfโ€”meant nothing.

She froze, her heartbeat pounding in her chest. Almost instinctively, she called ou

" kya hum phele kabhi mile hai?โ€

He paused for a single heartbeat. Then, as if her words had never reached him, he turned slightly, expression unreadable, and continued walkingโ€ฆ

leaving behind only the heavy, unspoken weight of that moment, hanging in the still air.

She bowed one last time before the Jyotirling, letting her palms linger together as if sealing her prayer into the quiet stone. Her heart still raced, the echoes of the temple lingering in her chest.

Then she rose, walking out slowly, the cool evening air brushing against her face. She slid into her car, started the engine, and drove off.

Moments later, her car came to a stop in front of a grand, imposing gate. The nameplate gleamed in the fading light: "Singhania".

yes singhania mention.

because she is no one but.

our male lead.

Dr. aavya singhania.

Her eyes lit up the moment she saw the Singhania gate. Beyond it, the mansion shimmered in the evening glow, every corner sparkling as if dressed for a celebration. The driveway was lined with lanterns that cast a golden shimmer, and the house itself was a vision of festivityโ€”vibrant flowers, flowing drapes, and strings of twinkling lights creating an atmosphere of joy and grandeur.

She stepped out of the car, her chest fluttering with excitement . Each step toward the entrance felt like stepping into a dream, the soft click of her heels mingling with the gentle evening breeze.

The decorations, the shimmering lights, and the delicate floral arrangements made her heart leap. She smiled, feeling a warm rush of happiness, as if the entire world had paused for this perfect, special moment.

She stepped into the mansion, and the warmth of the lights, the shimmer of the chandeliers, and the fragrance of fresh flowers wrapped around her like a celebration itself. Every corner gleamedโ€”the mandap was ready, draped in vibrant silk and fragrant blooms, fairy lights twinkling overhead.

Suddenly, a sharp voice rang out from somewhere nearby, cutting through the quiet hum of preparations:โ€œBaraat sirf 2 ghante mein aa rahi hai, mandap poora ready haiโ€ฆ aur dulhan ko dekho abhi bhiย  idhar-udhar ghoom rahi hai!โ€

She froze mid-step, her hands folding over her chest. Slowly, a bitter, knowing smile spread across her face. She stepped a little closer, scanning the space around her as if daring anyone to challenge her.

โ€œArreโ€ฆ kahi dulhan ko dekh ke, dulha aadhe raste se hi na bhag jaye,โ€ she said, her voice low, teasing, with just a hint of mischief.

She paused mid-step, hearing the bustling voices of the wedding staff and the distant echoes of music. Then, softly, with a hint of affection in her tone, she said:

โ€œDidiโ€ฆ aap fikar mat kijiye. Mein abhi taiyar ho jaungiโ€ฆ mere Manku ke aane se pehle.โ€

Her words carried a quiet confidence, a gentle promise that no matter the chaos around her, she would be ready in time.

She stepped into her room, heart racing. The moment the door opened, her eyes went wide.

The mandap shimmered under golden lights, flowers draped every corner, silk and satin gleamed perfectly. Every detail sparkled like a dreamโ€”but it felt like someone had ripped her heart from her chest. Her childhood dreams, the little visions of this dayโ€ฆ alive, yet burning right before her.

She froze, breath caught, hands trembling, eyes taking in every detail. For a heartbeat, the world seemed to pause.

She instinctively moved forward, drawn toward the glowing mandap.

Suddenly, a strong arm shot out and grabbed her, stopping her instantly.

Her breath hitched, eyes wide. The unexpected grip held her firm, unyielding, leaving no space to move. In that frozen instant, the world narrowed to just himโ€”and the tension between them.

She spun around, panic rising like a storm inside her. The flames flickered, shadows dancing across her wide, terrified eyes. She clawed at the strong arm holding her, every muscle straining.

โ€œBabaโ€ฆ chhodiye mujhe! Meri lehengaโ€ฆ meri saadiโ€ฆ sabโ€ฆ sab jal jayega!โ€
